About the Role
An Assistant Cook to help prepare meals (and act as cook when necessary) to provide nutritious meals to learners, staff and guests in a clean, healthy environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and cooking; serve food and beverages; operate kitchen equipment safely.
- Keep cooking/storage areas, utensils and equipment clean, sanitised and hygienic; comply with Health & Safety and HACCP.
- Prepare ingredients, dressings and desserts; package food for use outside the dining hall; perform the Cook's duties in their absence.

Requirements
- At least 5 'O' Level subjects.
- A certificate in professional cookery or hotel & catering (or relevant qualification); at least a Class 2 skilled-worker certificate.
- At least 2 years' experience in a similar position; able to work long hours in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work within the Catholic traditions and ethos of the College.
