About the Role
Reports to the Director, Library, Documentation and Technical Services.
Role: Implement the National Library policy, standards and guidelines at provincial level; monitor long-term maintenance and improvement of library facilities; oversee cataloguing, classification, acquisition and weeding of materials; train and support librarians and teacher librarians; facilitate registration and deregistration of affiliate libraries; and develop stakeholder partnerships to mobilise resources for library development.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Library and Information Science, Information Management or equivalent (a relevant master's an added advantage).
- At least six (6) years in the Librarian grade or equivalent.
- In-depth knowledge of library management systems and information literacy; proficiency in ICT and digital library platforms.
- Knowledge of current literature and professional trends; management and supervisory skills; strong written and oral communication.
