About the Role

About Us: The Zimbabwe National Family Planning Council (ZNFPC) is a leading organisation dedicated to providing reproductive-health and family-planning services. We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic and high-calibre Graduate Intern to join our Human Resources and Administration team for a period of two (2) years in Matabeleland South Province (51 Big Ben Road, Jahunda Township, Gwanda). This internship offers recent graduates an exceptional opportunity to gain hands-on, practical experience in a professional and supportive public-health environment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities (under supervision of the HR and Administration department):
- Recruitment and Selection: assisting with recruitment activities, including drafting vacancy notices, longlisting, scheduling interviews and communicating with candidates.
- Records Management: maintaining and updating electronic HR databases and physical employee personnel files with strict confidentiality.
- Leave and Attendance: assisting with tracking and management of staff leave, attendance registers and related personnel records.
- Training and Development: supporting coordination of staff training sessions, inductions and development activities.
- General Administration: providing comprehensive administrative support, managing office supplies, and assisting with procurement requests and processes.
- Logistics: assisting with departmental logistics, fleet management and transport scheduling.
- Ad-hoc Duties: performing any other human-resources and administrative duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

Qualifications, Experience and Attributes:
- Education: a Bachelor's Degree, Higher National Diploma (HND) or National Diploma (ND) in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology or an equivalent relevant field.
- Eligibility: must be a recent graduate who completed their studies within the last two (2) years.
- Skills: excellent verbal and written communication, strong interpersonal skills and a high level of emotional intelligence.
- Competencies: proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), keen attention to detail, and ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
