About the Role
Reports to the General Manager ICT. Develops and implements the Commission's GIS strategy and an enterprise Land Information Management System.
Duties:
- Develop and maintain digital spatial and attribute databases; produce thematic maps and spatial analyses for land audits, inspections and dispute resolution.
- Integrate GIS with other systems; ensure GIS infrastructure availability, security and resilience.
- Develop GIS policies and standards; manage GIS projects, budgets and training; advise on geospatial technology (drone/UAV, remote sensing, cloud GIS).

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geomatics, Land Surveying or Cartography; a Master's in GIS and Remote Sensing or Land Management an added advantage.
- Minimum 5 years in GIS/Remote Sensing, spatial databases or cartography.
- Proficiency in ArcGIS/QGIS and spatial databases; remote sensing platforms; Python/R for geospatial analysis; mobile data collection (ODK, KoBo).
