About the Role
Cimas MEDLABS is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform pathology sample analysis and interpret test results to support patient diagnosis, in line with ISO 15189 and Cimas SOPs.
Duties:
- Collect patient blood and non-blood specimens; check adequacy and quality of specimens submitted for testing.
- Perform patient sample analysis, ensuring correct patient and correct test.
- Run routine and high-complexity assays on manual and automated platforms.
- Validate results and determine reasonableness against reference ranges.
- Participate in external quality-assurance programmes.

Requirements
- Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences.
- Valid Practising Certificate.
- 1–2 years' experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist.
- Able to work long and irregular hours including night shift; work independently and handle variable workloads.
- Knowledgeable on laboratory safety and courier of biological specimens.
