About the Role
ZITA seeks a detail-oriented Technical Officer for its Technical Department, researching general tax issues and providing technical support to the technical, education and other departments and committees.
Responsibilities
- Review and keep track of tax legislation.
- Prepare the Institute's pre-budget submission and review budget speeches and Mid-Term Fiscal Policy reviews.
- Organise seminars and workshops on topical tax issues with the Technical Committee.
- Provide technical support to the Education Committee (syllabi, module writers) and ensure smooth roll-out of courses.
- Liaise with other institutes and stakeholders on technical matters.
- Keep track of industry trends and tax changes and ensure compliance with ZIMRA and PAAB requirements.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in the relevant field or equivalent.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience as a Tax Accountant or in a similar role.
- Good understanding of MS Office and accounting software; in-depth knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping processes.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills and outstanding written and verbal communication.
