About the Role
St Peter's Kubatana High School is hiring an IT Support Technician.
Duties and responsibilities
- Diagnose and fix problems with computers, laptops, printers and mobile devices.
- Answer user requests and support tickets via phone, email or chat.
- Install and configure operating systems, software programs and hardware peripherals.
- Monitor basic local network connections and fix connectivity issues.
- Create employee accounts, reset passwords and manage access permissions.
- Log support calls, track repairs and document fixes in a ticketing system.
- Teach staff how to use new hardware and software safely and correctly.

Requirements
Qualifications
- National Foundation Certificate, National Certificate, National Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Systems or equivalent.
- 5 O Levels including English and Mathematics.
- Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS or Linux operating systems, basic networking and hardware repair.
- 1 to 2 years of hands-on technical or customer service experience.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
